🪝 Hook analysis: Curiosity Gap · The Storytelling Hook 📝 Copywriting Formulas: 📝 PPPP (Promise, Picture, Proof, Push): A narrative arc. Make a bold promise, help the reader visualize it, offer proof you can deliver, and push them to act. 📝 AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action): Grab their attention, make it relevant, create a desire for the outcome, and tell them what to do. 🤔 Other notes: Uses bolding for emphasis on the hook. Employs bullet points to present achievements clearly and concisely. Builds authority through sharing impressive growth metrics and specific investments. Concludes with a forward-looking statement that promises future content and engagement. 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 (𝟮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀). This is what I’ve been up to. * I invested $60K in a mentor that revolutionized how I perceive and build my business. * Launched 4 different services/offers, some failed, and some worked far beyond all expectations. * Went from 0 to 34 people on my team, an amazing journey making me feel incredibly privileged. * Getting 1800 people applying to work in Buro Ventures, by implementing the system learned over weekly calls with the previous Chief Strategy Officer in the largest marketing company on Earth. * Build an offering to the marketplace that combines an agency, university, and accelerator - in the pursuit of building the necessary infrastructure to launch 100 companies in 5 years. * Been on a workcation to Turkey, twice - with an amazing group of people, living the nomad/remote working lifestyle. The last 2 years have been filled with learning experiences, experiences that have completely changed the path forward. We’re no longer building a marketing agency, we’re building so much more. And I will dedicate my time forward to documenting and sharing the experiences I make on the journey of building tomorrow’s workplace.👍 162 reactions💬 13 commentsView post 👉 - Matt Lakajev2022-05-02
🪝 Hook analysis: Curiosity Gap · Fear/Pain Point Hook · Bold Promise/Solution Hook 📝 Copywriting Formulas: 📝 AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action): Grab their attention, make it relevant, create a desire for the outcome, and tell them what to do. 📝 PAS (Problem, Agitate, Solution): Identify a pain point, make the reader feel the pain more intensely, and then present your offer as the perfect solution. 🤔 Other notes: The second line 'Hanging out with Teddy' acts as a secondary hook, introducing a personal and intriguing element that creates an open loop and further curiosity. The juxtaposition of a professional topic (sales hack) with a personal, informal detail (Teddy) makes the post more relatable and human. The best ever sales hack for dealing with everyday rejection Hanging out with Teddy👍 118 reactions💬 13 commentsView post 👉 - Matt Lakajev2022-04-04

In Nov 2018 I decided I wanted to leave my career in accounting and pursue a career in sales 6 months I spent applying for entry level roles, and for 6 months I was rejected for not having both SaaS experience and a degree Finally in April 2019 it was Zoom that gave me my big break Fast forward to present day, I am very excited to share that I will be joining the Commercial Team! Never in my wildest dreams could I have predicted the crazy journey Zoom would take me on, but I have absolutely loved it nonetheless👍 124 reactions💬 13 commentsView post 👉 - Bjion Henry2021-12-02
🪝 Hook analysis: Inspiration/Aspiration Hook · Open Loop · The Storytelling Hook 🧲 Lead Magnet: More information about fund-raising for our seed-round, in exchange for a direct message. 📝 Copywriting Formulas: 📝 PASTOR (Problem, Amplify, Story/Solution, Testimony, Offer, Response): An empathetic, in-depth formula. State the problem, amplify the consequences, tell a story about the solution, provide testimonials, make an offer, and ask for a response. 📝 AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action): Grab their attention, make it relevant, create a desire for the outcome, and tell them what to do. 📝 PPPP (Promise, Picture, Proof, Push): A narrative arc. Make a bold promise, help the reader visualize it, offer proof you can deliver, and push them to act. November was a crazy month for us, what a journey! Five months ago when we first soft-launched as a new startup, times were tough. Over that time, we’ve had to make some difficult decisions... Our toughest, and most impactful was what to do about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Go all in and try and to maximise this once a year opportunity, or keep the purse strings tight, don’t do anything too risky and conserve the runway we had. You can take a guess which we chose! Here is our month in numbers: · £45,630.27 total sales (GMV) · 422% increase in total sales (GMV) from previous month · £28.8K in the final week of November (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) · 700%+ Return-on-ad-spend (ROAS) · 3-figure average basket size Lessons learned: As much as I’d like to say the old cliche ‘trust your gut’, it was actually the opposite. In the first couple of weeks we were burning cash at an alarming rate and sales weren’t coming in. Had we trusted our gut, which was screaming at us to turn off the ads and cut our losses, our numbers would have been quite different. Instead, we decided to follow a different cliche and trusted the process. As a new startup, these choices are so much harder because both money and time are so precious - a wrong decision can be expensive for both! Next stop, fund-raising for our seed-round! Drop me a message to hear more!👍 150 reactions💬 5 commentsView post 👉 - Bjion Henry2021-10-21
🪝 Hook analysis: The Storytelling Hook · Curiosity Gap · Secret Reveal · Inspiration/Aspiration Hook 📝 Copywriting Formulas: 📝 BAB (Before, After, Bridge): Show them their current frustrating world ("Before"), paint a picture of their ideal world ("After"), and present your offer as the "Bridge" to get there. 📝 PAS (Problem, Agitate, Solution): Identify a pain point, make the reader feel the pain more intensely, and then present your offer as the perfect solution. 🤔 Other notes: Strong emphasis on gratitude and mentorship. Teaser for a future startup launch ("exits stealth-mode"). Personal apology for inactivity on the platform. This time last week I spoke at the Investor Allstars Awards on stage with Nigel Morris about my journey with Working Options in Education as well as the new startup the team and I have been working on over the last 18 months. It's now been 10 years since I first met Working Options in Education and anyone who knows me will know how much they've supported me over the years. I can never give enough thanks to Sufian Sadiq, Nigel Morris and Paul Monk for all the support, advice and mentoring they've given me over the years to help me get to where I am. Growing up in Luton, finding opportunities to get your foot through the door was difficult enough, let alone getting in and then knowing how to take things to the next level. The Working Options in Education team helped me with both. Even today as I'm about to begin fundraising for our startup's seed-round, here they are again giving me the opportunity to talk about it to an audience of over 500+ investors, entrepreneurs and VCs. I'd also like to say a special thank you to the GP Bullhound for an amazing evening! P.S. Haven't really been too active on Linkedin over the last year and a half as I've been focused on our project, so I do apologise if I've ever been slow to respond to anyone! In the next couple of months as our startup exits stealth-mode, I'll be far more active!👍 81 reactions💬 8 commentsView post 👉 - Matt Lakajev2021-07-17
🪝 Hook analysis: Bold Promise/Solution Hook · Numbers/Data Hook · Curiosity Gap 📝 Copywriting Formulas: 📝 PPPP (Promise, Picture, Proof, Push): A narrative arc. Make a bold promise, help the reader visualize it, offer proof you can deliver, and push them to act. 📝 PAS (Problem, Agitate, Solution): Identify a pain point, make the reader feel the pain more intensely, and then present your offer as the perfect solution. 🤔 Other notes: The post itself demonstrates the principle it teaches: brevity leading to high engagement. It provides a very specific, actionable tip with a claimed high success rate. The Magic Followup Sequence My most successful follow up sequence that generates a 70% response rate and has booked the most amount of meetings is Day 3 - “Thoughts?” Day 6 - “Bad Timing?” And that’s it. Over time I’ve found emails with the least amount of words have the highest response rate.👍 122 reactions💬 12 commentsView post 👉 - Bjion Henry2019-10-18

🪝 Hook analysis: Curiosity Gap · Social Proof/Testimonial Hook 📝 Copywriting Formulas: 📝 AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action): Grab their attention, make it relevant, create a desire for the outcome, and tell them what to do. 📝 CCCC (Clear, Concise, Compelling, Credible): Is your copy easy to understand, direct, interesting, and believable? 🤔 Other notes: Uses emotional language to convey enthusiasm (imponert, fantastisk, kanonbra). Includes specific numbers (2700+) for credibility. Focuses on celebrating an individual's achievement and the success of an event. The post is entirely positive and congratulatory. Kanonbra jobba Heidi Aven!👍 185 reactions💬 5 commentsView post 👉 - Bjion Henry2019-01-30

🪝 Hook analysis: Empathy/Relatability Hook · Inspiration/Aspiration Hook · The Storytelling Hook 🤔 Other notes: The post leverages the prestige of a well-known company (@google) to amplify the impact of the personal announcement. It creates a sense of aspiration by highlighting a significant career achievement at a young age (starting at 19 after sixth form). The post is a common LinkedIn 'career update' format, which tends to generate high engagement (congratulations, best wishes, etc.). The emotional tone is reflective, grateful, and forward-looking, making it relatable and engaging. It’s been an unforgettable time at this company and it feels insane to say I’m leaving. I’m going to miss it here and all the people I’ve met along the way. I remember being in sixth form thinking how crazy it’d be to work at a place like @google, and I never thought by 19 I’d begin my journey and experience all the things I have over the years. Will miss Dublin too, but looking forward to moving back to London and starting the next chapter. Thank you @google👍 129 reactions💬 17 commentsView post 👉
